# Meera Jasmine’s birth name is Jasmine Mary Joseph. She was born on 15th Feb 1984 in Thiruvalla, India to Joseph & Aleyamma.

# She did her schooling in Thiruvalla, Kerala. She was doing her first year BSc in Zoology when she was offered a role by well known director Lohithadas in Soothradharan in 2001. After few films in malayalam she started to appear in south Indian languages mainly tamil and telugu.

# Initially her father Joseph was not willing to allow her to do films, but her mother, brother and sister supported her film career.

# She made headlines in tabloids when she created a controversy by entering Raja Rajeshwara temple at Taliparamba where entry was prohibited for non-Hindus. However she apologized for hurting the sentiments and paid penalty of Rs. 10000/ for performing purification rituals.

# Its reported that she is in love with U. Rajesh who is a mandolin artist and they would be marrying soon after completion of her films. Her favorite food is Fish Curry.
