#  Trisha Krishnan was born 4th May 1983 in Chennai, India. Though her parents are from Kerala she was born and brought up in Chennai.

#  She attended “Sacred Heart Matriculation School” and “Ethiraj College for Women” in Chennai. She has completed her degree in Bachelor of Business Administration. She aspired to be a “criminal psychologist” but later chose to stay in film industry.

#  She is one among the very few Indian actresses who are fluent in French language.

#  Before entering films she was in modeling working for local ads. She won “Miss Salem” and “Miss Madras” beauty pageants in 1999 and in 2001 won “Beautiful Smile” in Miss India pageant.

#  She entered the films in a supporting role in “Jodi” in 1999 as Simran‘s friend. Her debut film as a lead actress was in “Mounam Pesiyadhe” in 2002. Blockbuster hits like Saamy in 2003, Ghilli in 2004, Varsham in 2004 established her as one among the mainstream actresses in south Indian film industry.

#  She is a pure vegetarian and has great compassion for animals, she is serving as Goodwill Ambassador of PETA, an organization fighting for animal rights around the world.

#  She participated in a campaign “Angel for Animals” 2010 encouraging dog lovers to adopt homeless dogs instead of pedigreed foreign breeds.

#  Her name hit the headlines of national tabloids for wrong reasons in 2004. A video clip of two and a half minute was released on internet which appeared to be a nude video shot while she was taking bath in a hotel. But Trisha denied the same and filed a criminal complaint against “Netrikkan weekly” for publishing those pictures carelessly without verifying the truth.

#  Again in 2010 she was amidst controversy when Telugu channel reported that she is one among the drug addicted celebrities who had link with Nigerian drug dealer “Chima Clement” who was arrested in Hyderabad. She sued the channel for making such false scandals.
